Every Tuesday I will be posting a Tutorial or Top Tip. If there is something you would like to learn or you would like some Top Tips, please comment or message me. Tina Kirby on the Card Making Tips Forum requested a tutorial on Stepper Cards. Stepper Cards are simple to make- BUT only when you have the correct measurements.
I have been trying all day to write step by step instructions but they all sound really complicated. However if you start with an A4 piece of card and then cut it down to 5 inches x 10 inches then copy the following template, it’s much easier. (At least that’s what my testers said.) Here is the template:
*The RED line means CUT. The BLUE line means FOLD*
Once you have scored and cut your card using the above measurements you are ready to start folding.
I found it easier to start folding at the 1 inch mark first. The 1 inch fold is a mountain fold and the 2 inch is the valley fold. (See below)
The five inch fold is basically the card folded in half. Once you fold at 5 inches. the 6 inch score lin will be forced to fold.
I would then go over all the folds with a bone folder to ensure ‘crisp’ folds. Then all you need to do is decorate!
