I was SO excited when I saw that Fringe Scissors were in the Summer Catalogue. I remember having a pair as a child and just cutting lots of paper up so I was looking forward to learn what you can actually do with them!
At the moment I have two favourite uses for the scissors. I love creating borders with fringed paper and I am OBSESSED with making fringed flowers.
Step 1: Take a piece of cardstock 2″x 6″ and score and fold at 1″.
Step 2: Apply red tape to the length of one side of the cardstock and adhere together.
Step 3: Cut 2/3rds of the cardstock with the scissors. It is best to start cutting half way down the blade.
Step 4: Apply another strip of red tape down the length of the cardstock.
Step 5: Roll the cardstock up creating the flower.
Step 6: ‘Fluff’ the flower up.
