Last week was so manic I didn’t get chance to post anything!! However everything is back on track now!
This weeks tutorial is for a mini scrapbook using the empty pearl/diamonte packets. (Finally I hear say) This idea came from the amazing Selene Kempton. Selene is super talented so please check out here blog HERE.
Step 1: Take an the card out of the pearl/diamonte packet out. This will be the scrapbook cover.
Step 2: Cut DSP to the following sizes:
- 8 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
- 7 7/16″ (Just under 7 1/2) x 4″
Step 3: Cut cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 6″ (You can get 3 pieces per A4 page) Score all pieces at 1″ on the shorter size.
Step 4: Cut a piece of Window Sheet (Acetate) to 6″ x 4″.
Step 5: Stick the card to the DSP. (Tip: Stick the longer side down first, then fold the crease down and glue the small side down)
Step 6: Cut the corners as in the picture below.
Step 7: Score around the card and fold over all sides down.
Step 8: Glue the second piece of DSP down. (Tip, as before, glue the long side down first)
Step 9: Decorate each page.
Step 10: Punch two holes in each layer using a hole punch.
Step 11: Use ribbon to tie all layers together.
You can use this idea for all sorts of different packages. I have got my eye on doing it with the dimensionals and making a square book! I would love to see your ideas so please share them.
