Card in a Box is everywhere! So I thought I best jump on the bandwagon and make one! Here is mine:
I have noticed a lot of people questioning about what size envelope to use. My card is sized to fit an average C6 envelope.
Step 1: Start with a piece of card 8 1/4″ by 9″
Step 2: Score at 2″, 4 “, 6 “, 8, and 8 1/4″.
Step 3: Turn the card 90 degrees and score 2 3/4”.
Step 4: With the 2 3/4″ score line on your left, trim the card from 8 1/4″ to 6″.
Step 5: Using the cut off card, trim down to 3 1/8″. Cut this piece in half (1 1/8″) and fold in to a Z shape.
Step 6: Turn the bigger piece of cardstock so the smaller panel’s are at the bottom. Cut all 4 score lines.
Step 7: Cut of the smallest panel at the bottom, and create a tab with the top section.
Step 8: Fold all the upright score lines. (length-ways)
Step 9: Fold 3 of the tabs down, leaving 1 unfolded.
Step 10: Apply double sided sticky tape to the tab.
Step 11: Adhere the tab to the other side to create box.
Step 12: Apply double sided sticky tape to either end if the Z pieces of card. Place the Z’s into the box at 1 and 2 thirds of the way in.
Step 13: DECORATE!!
